1999 Ford Mustang Coupe – Coyote 5.0L
This heavily upgraded 1999 Ford Mustang Coupe combines New Edge styling with modern Coyote power. Under the hood is a first-generation 5.0L Coyote V8 sourced from a 2012 Mustang GT, installed in 2023 and paired with a Tremec T-56 six-speed manual transmission and McLeod twin-disc clutch. A dyno sheet shows 421.93 horsepower and 373.34 lb-ft of torque.
Finished in Silver Clearcoat Metallic over Medium Graphite cloth, the Mustang features a JLT cold-air intake, BBK long-tube headers, custom X-pipe, Pypes cat-back exhaust, UPR tubular K-member, Steeda subframe connectors and springs, Koni adjustable dampers, and upgraded SVE four-wheel disc brakes. Chrome 17-inch SVE wheels with staggered Toyo Proxes R888R tires complete the performance-focused setup.
Inside, upgrades include a Racepak IQ3 digital dash, MGW short-throw shifter, Pioneer touchscreen infotainment system, power windows and locks, and remote keyless entry. The digital odometer shows approximately 3,800 miles, though total chassis mileage is unknown. The climate control system is currently inoperative following the engine swap.
A well-built combination of classic Mustang character and modern Ford performance, this Coyote-swapped Mustang offers serious power, a six-speed manual, and an extensive list of chassis and drivetrain upgrades.
