1935 LaSalle Convertible

$75,000.00Price

The 1935 LaSalle Convertible is a beautiful example of prewar American luxury and Art Deco-inspired automotive design. Created as a companion marque to Cadillac, LaSalle offered sophisticated styling and engineering at a slightly more accessible price, and the 1935 models are especially admired for their elegant proportions and distinctive details.

Power comes from a 346-cubic-inch V8 engine, producing approximately 115 horsepower. The engine is paired with a 3-speed manual transmission, providing smooth, relaxed performance appropriate for the grand touring character of the LaSalle.

The exterior is unmistakably 1930s, featuring a long hood, sweeping fenders, flowing body lines, a tall vertical grille and generous amounts of polished chrome. The convertible body style adds to the car's appeal, allowing the driver and passengers to enjoy the open-air experience while showcasing the elegant proportions of the LaSalle.

Inside, the cabin reflects the craftsmanship of the period with a beautifully appointed interior, period-correct instrumentation and carefully finished trim. The combination of the open convertible design and refined passenger compartment gives the car an unmistakable sense of occasion.

The 1935 LaSalle was also notable for its styling. Under the direction of GM's design leadership, LaSalle had developed into one of the company's more visually sophisticated marques, with smoother, more streamlined forms replacing some of the heavier styling associated with earlier automobiles.

Today, the 1935 LaSalle Convertible is a highly distinctive collector car that captures the elegance of prewar motoring. Its V8 power, sweeping Art Deco-era styling, extensive chrome and open-air convertible configuration make it a remarkable representation of an era when automobiles were designed to be works of art as much as machines.
